Parent Stock hatchery

This concept hatchery- and grow-out farm with commercial Point of Lays (POL) of European imported parent stock hybrid layers; has one 16m x 6m growing facility for imported new parent stock, with heating, lighting system and nestboxes in Phase 1) The day old chicks (DOC) will be placed in this facility, and grown out for six 24 weeks (700 hens and 70 roosters) at which point the hens are laying fertile eggs - which will be hatched and reared in Phases 2 and 3.

 

The production capacity is rated at 4-5 fertile eggs a week for each of the 700 hens (12000-15000 fertile eggs p/month).
